Secunda, Mpumalanga – Sasol Secunda in partnership with Gert Sibande District Municipality will be hosting its 12th annual People With Disabilities Sports Day (PWD) as an initiative to discover talent and encourage learners and community members with disabilities to actively participate in competitive sports.The event will take place on Friday, 17 May 2019 at Sasol eMbalenhle Community Centre.
The annual People with Disabilities Day is one of the Sasol-sponsored event that is a testament of Sasol living out its values, which include diversity and inclusion.
The sports day programme caters for two categories of people with disabilities: children from special schools and learners with disabilities; and adults living with disabilities represented by PWD non-governmental organisations (NGO) and municipalities across Mpumalanga.
Learners from the following schools are expected to participate mentioned municipalities; Basizeni LSEN, Osizweni LSEN, Marietjie LSEN, Wolvenkop LSEN, Pelonolo LSEN, Thanduxolo LSEN, Estralita LSEN, Silindokuhle LSEN, Kamagugu LSEN, Mantjedi LSEN, Masinakane LSEN, Tsakane LSEN as well as adults from the following municipalities in
Govan Mbeki, Msukalikwa, Dipaleseng, Pixley Ka Seme, Chief Albert Luthuli, Mkhondo and Lekwa.

The event is free and open to sport clubs and individuals in and around Mpumalanga. In the past, the event also attracted variety of teams from other provinces.
