Johannesburg, South Africa – In a world that's rapidly evolving towards sustainability and innovation, it's refreshing to see companies making strides to redefine the way we think about traditional industries. Today, we celebrate our remarkable achievement of being named the winner of the Petrol Stations – Forecourt Industry Award, in the 2023 Ask Afrika Orange Index.
Sasol has been selected as a winner from a database that includes 32 industries and 48 000 plus public interviews that have been conducted by the Ask Afrika Orange Index which is in in its 22nd year of celebrating Customer Experience Excellence. This index, that is widely accepted by blue chip companies, is the largest and longest standing customer experience benchmark in South Africa. It is the broadest and most widely referenced service excellence benchmark in South Africa that measures customer satisfaction, emotional satisfaction and loyalty to recognise companies that show exceptional performance across client experience metrics such as servicing and problem resolution. This is a true testament to Sasol’s unwavering commitment to deliver service excellence to the public throughout its network.
Commenting on this achievement, Dumisani Bengu, Sasol SVP for Mobility & Customer Experience, said, “one of the key factors that set Sasol retail outlets apart is that we have demonstrated that we are more than just a fuel company. This achievement underscores our dedication to enhancing the customer experience, be it through our innovative loyalty rewards programme, which recently bagged the Best Newcomer Loyalty Programme Award at the South African Loyalty Awards, or our Sasol Delight convenience stores with a wide range of offerings supported by our dedicated team of friendly staff members; who have all gone through the service excellence training”.
Dumisani further stated that we are justifiably proud of this ranking based on the broad nature and deep representation of the attitudes and behaviours of our South African population that this benchmark covers.
Sasol is committed to achieving future accomplishments which are innovative in approach, community focussed and with a forward-thinking mindset that will set the platform for Sasol’s forecourt of the future ambitions.
Congratulations to all for this well-deserved recognition, and here’s to many more achievements in the years to come!
